Evaluation of my experience

> What do you think about the experience in general?

I found the course flexible and interesting to talk about several interesting topics, however I would have liked to teach me more about grammatical rules because they cost me a lot and I would like to have the skills to speak in past and present past correctly.

> How much do you feel that you have developed your writing skills?

Not so much, I believe that my confidence in writing on any subject was further developed, but I still do not correctly handle writing in social sciences

> What you would like to include in the future

More lessons in grammar and academic writing and hopefully we will revise class to class the structure of the writings so that there is feedback and the possibility of understanding must be the correct structure of an essay

> What else do you want to write about

I would like the course to be more interactive and have more activities where we can recognize the correct use of verb conjugations and learn new words used in Social Sciences

How have you changed?

I remember that I could eat tons of food, even every time I had money, while others bought video games or went to the movies, I went alone to eat at restaurants, it's something that I can consider very special, enjoy a restaurant being alone , making the moment of eating a ritual, I used to go through Santiago looking for exotic places to eat, I did not have enough money to be a sybarite but every time I saved I used to go out to some interesting place. I practically ate the money.
In my travels I started tasting Thai food, specifically green curry with eggplant and chicken, then I went to some cheap coffee for a mokkaccino and a sweet arabian or a brownie.
Soon I began to visit the neighborhood of Patronato frequently, since it is a paradise for Arab, Korean and Japanese food places. I liked the fact that the concept of "picada" was maintained in many places so the food was cheap, delicious and plentiful. Also I usually go to the Supemercado Chino where I can get a product to experience Asian cuisine and above all an incredible variety of sweets from fish jerky to shrimp snacks.
During the last year I have suffered some attacks of gastritis product of the stress of the university so I have gone very little to eat, however last year I tried the French food, specifically snails which were delicious, this year I tried authentic Japanese food served on a Tatami, sitting on the floor and drinking sake. Also try molecular gastronomy desserts, an earl gray mousse with crystallized honey. To tell the truth my appetite has changed a lot, today I do not prefer giant dishes but well prepared and subtle meals, maybe my stomach has become small and can not resist the amount of food I used to eat before, but my taste for delicious food it remains intact

A subject i enjoyed this semester: The essay about the gift

I was very interested by a topic present in my career that talks about how an anthropologist named Marcel Mauss discovers that the offerings among indigenous groups have a much more complex sense than it seems, because through them they manage to establish social relationships between groups and a bond of interdependence is generated.

The interesting thing about this is that it not only serves to study indigenous societies but also the current one, and you can discover how people give gifts for moral obligation and generate a sense of inferiority in those who receive the gift because he is in debt with the one who gives it to him.

The exchanges between nations also enter into this logic and reflect how this serves to create alliances when it is necessary to go to war with other human groups because a relationship of forced friendship is created with the interest that both countries that make an alliance protect themselves
I mean learning something very funny for me because it can be carried out in our reality and we can even know what will be the reaction of who receives gifts and who gives them.

It made me happy to learn this and to know the potential of anthropology
