I was very interested by a topic present in my career that talks about how an anthropologist named Marcel Mauss discovers that the offerings among indigenous groups have a much more complex sense than it seems, because through them they manage to establish social relationships between groups and a bond of interdependence is generated.
The interesting thing about this is that it not only serves to study indigenous societies but also the current one, and you can discover how people give gifts for moral obligation and generate a sense of inferiority in those who receive the gift because he is in debt with the one who gives it to him.
The exchanges between nations also enter into this logic and reflect how this serves to create alliances when it is necessary to go to war with other human groups because a relationship of forced friendship is created with the interest that both countries that make an alliance protect themselves
I mean learning something very funny for me because it can be carried out in our reality and we can even know what will be the reaction of who receives gifts and who gives them.
It made me happy to learn this and to know the potential of anthropology
