Evaluation of my experience

> What do you think about the experience in general?

I found the course flexible and interesting to talk about several interesting topics, however I would have liked to teach me more about grammatical rules because they cost me a lot and I would like to have the skills to speak in past and present past correctly.

> How much do you feel that you have developed your writing skills?

Not so much, I believe that my confidence in writing on any subject was further developed, but I still do not correctly handle writing in social sciences

> What you would like to include in the future

More lessons in grammar and academic writing and hopefully we will revise class to class the structure of the writings so that there is feedback and the possibility of understanding must be the correct structure of an essay

> What else do you want to write about

I would like the course to be more interactive and have more activities where we can recognize the correct use of verb conjugations and learn new words used in Social Sciences

How have you changed?

I remember that I could eat tons of food, even every time I had money, while others bought video games or went to the movies, I went alone to eat at restaurants, it's something that I can consider very special, enjoy a restaurant being alone , making the moment of eating a ritual, I used to go through Santiago looking for exotic places to eat, I did not have enough money to be a sybarite but every time I saved I used to go out to some interesting place. I practically ate the money.
In my travels I started tasting Thai food, specifically green curry with eggplant and chicken, then I went to some cheap coffee for a mokkaccino and a sweet arabian or a brownie.
Soon I began to visit the neighborhood of Patronato frequently, since it is a paradise for Arab, Korean and Japanese food places. I liked the fact that the concept of "picada" was maintained in many places so the food was cheap, delicious and plentiful. Also I usually go to the Supemercado Chino where I can get a product to experience Asian cuisine and above all an incredible variety of sweets from fish jerky to shrimp snacks.
During the last year I have suffered some attacks of gastritis product of the stress of the university so I have gone very little to eat, however last year I tried the French food, specifically snails which were delicious, this year I tried authentic Japanese food served on a Tatami, sitting on the floor and drinking sake. Also try molecular gastronomy desserts, an earl gray mousse with crystallized honey. To tell the truth my appetite has changed a lot, today I do not prefer giant dishes but well prepared and subtle meals, maybe my stomach has become small and can not resist the amount of food I used to eat before, but my taste for delicious food it remains intact

A subject i enjoyed this semester: The essay about the gift

I was very interested by a topic present in my career that talks about how an anthropologist named Marcel Mauss discovers that the offerings among indigenous groups have a much more complex sense than it seems, because through them they manage to establish social relationships between groups and a bond of interdependence is generated.

The interesting thing about this is that it not only serves to study indigenous societies but also the current one, and you can discover how people give gifts for moral obligation and generate a sense of inferiority in those who receive the gift because he is in debt with the one who gives it to him.

The exchanges between nations also enter into this logic and reflect how this serves to create alliances when it is necessary to go to war with other human groups because a relationship of forced friendship is created with the interest that both countries that make an alliance protect themselves
I mean learning something very funny for me because it can be carried out in our reality and we can even know what will be the reaction of who receives gifts and who gives them.

It made me happy to learn this and to know the potential of anthropology

Post 7- Career related website.

Maybe is a site specifically for History but the page "Memoria Chilena" has a lot of very important information for my career related to Chile and delivers a series of files such as videos, images and books that allow me to understand much better the topics that I am learning. The site is divided into themes, dates, places and e-books that collect a lot of information related to the country. It is adapted to be used in a university setting because it provides appointments and specific information.

My passion: the japanese culture

My passion is in few words, all the japanese culture, i know... in this blog I have said many times that I like Japanese culture, so I will talk about specific Japanese gastronomy, which I love, I cook, eat and consume a lot. It all started the first time I tasted a red bean candy (azuki) that I bought in Patronato, then I started to try more sweets and traditional Japanese food, in general it struck me that many sweets have rice and a type of Japanese green tea called matchaMost sweets like the ones in the image seem to be dough, I think that makes them look very beautiful aesthetically.Japanese food can be seen very minimalist and simple at first glance, but behind it there is a world of preparations that reflect an identity of the country and its different geographical locations. I discovered very beautiful sweets like the taiyaki, the dangos, the dorayaki (doraemon eat that candies) and some salty preparations like takoyaki, ramen and yakisoba.those are some more traditional preparations but I have also tried many newer sweets like the pocky, matcha kit kat and calpis. I'm really passionate about continuing to discover Japanese food because I feel I can discover a lot of Japan through the food.

My favorite picture

La imagen puede contener: 2 personas

This is one of my favorite picture. I used to have my hair with a blond lock when i do my first trip abroad, and that gives me nostalgia. The year 2015 I traveled to Denmark for a couple of days with some schoolmates It was an incredible experience to be able to cross to the extreme north of the world. During my stay in Denmark I met the city of Copenhagen and this picture shows the center of the city a place where I tried a lot of delicious food and I met the Copenhagen river and the royal palace. It was amazing to discover people so different and diverse to me.

Some of the adventures that I can mention are having known the sculpture of the original mermaid Hans Christian Andersen, having visited the hippie community of Christiania which is a neighborhood that proclaims independence from the Danish state and people consume marijuana in a legal way.

This photo was taken by a classmate and I like it a lot because it makes me remember the place where it is and gives me the desire to visit again

What i do more and love in my life

If i have to talk about the things that fascinate me and i take me a lot of time. those would be two things: Watch The Simpsons and enjoying the japanese culture watching anime, reading manga and learning the languaje and most importantly eating and more importantly eating all the exotic food I can, maybe if I had more money I could consider myself a self-indulgent although that does not prevent me from having money when I eat everything I like.

About seeing the simpsons, I've been doing it for 20 years maybe more because my mother saw it when she was pregnant. I never really get tired of seeing them, I think I have seen more than a hundred times some chapters and I have many dialogues, if I had to say that I have a serious talent, remember each of them.

"¡Jamás! ¡Jamás, Marge! Yo no puedo vivir una vida vacía como tú. ¡Lo quiero todo! Las perturbadoras altas, las terribles bajas, la gris medriocridad. Claro; puedo ofender a algunos recatados con mi arrogante paso y mi olor a almizcle. ¡Oh! ¡Jamás seré el borreguito de los llamados "ciudadanos modelo" que enrollan su lengua, enchinan sus barbas y deliberan sobre qué deben hacer con ese Homero Simpson!" ( My favorite quote)

My passion for the japanese culture it starts with videos of anime characters that I met ten years ago, then I started to practice the language and the gastronomy of that country I loved it and I love it.Today studying Japanese culture is something I want to do professionally, and watch anime helps me a lot because shows many aspects of the japanese culture and its very funny.

And for the last i love the food and discovering new food is something that fascinates me, I love eating unusual things like eel, French truffles or dishes from places that can be cheap like where the construction workers eat but which are cooked with love.

In a few words that's what I love and I want to continue discovering.
